Job Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old
- have a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or relevant education
- be dependable and adaptable
- be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- have strong customer service and communication skills
- be able to follow directions and work well in a team
- be physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights
- comply with safety, health, and food handling regulations
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
- possess 1-2 years of bakery experience or a relevant combination of education and experience
- be dependable and adaptable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- exhibit a friendly demeanor and a positive attitude with strong customer interaction skills
- possess good communication abilities and be a team player who can follow directions
- perform general housekeeping within the department ensuring cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas
- operate bakery equipment including knives and scales and accurately weigh and label products
- be capable of standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights as required
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager with baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all bakery items
- deliver outstanding customer service while ensuring all bakery products are prepared, packaged, and presented with cleanliness in mind
- maintain a clean and sanitary bakery area and equipment, including regular cleaning of shelves, floors, and products
- ensure pricing accuracy and proper stock rotation, discarding any outdated or spoiled items
- receive and inspect product shipments for accuracy and quality
- take special orders over the phone
- comply with all safety, health, and food handling regulations
