- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in import/export operations focused on air freight
- Basic knowledge of customs regulations and compliance
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software
- Ability to work independently and multitask
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
Job Qualifications
- Ged or equivalent education
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in import/export operations, with a focus on air freight
- Basic knowledge of customs regulations, import documentation, and compliance requirements
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software such as Webcargo, Cargowise
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience working with global logistics companies
- Solid understanding of global trade
- Knowledge of general import regulations and requirements
Job Duties
- Coordinate and manage the importation of air freight shipments from origin to destination
- Ensure compliance with all relevant customs regulations and documentation requirements
- Communicate with airlines, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth import operations
- Prepare and review import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
- Provide exceptional customer service by keeping clients informed of shipment status and addressing any concerns
- Maintain accurate records of import transactions and update internal systems as needed
- Stay up-to-date with changes in import regulations and industry best practices
- Special duties may be assigned based on the needs of management
