The Brooklyn Heights, Ohio location of UniFirst is currently offering an exciting opportunity for hardworking and reliable individuals to join their team as Production Team Partners in the Pre-Tunnel Inspection Department. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $13.85 to $16.50, depending on candidate skills and experience. In addition, there is a generous new hire incentive bonus of $250, payable after 180 days of employment for eligible candidates meeting specific attendance and performance guidelines during the probationary period. The role is designed to provide all new team partners with comprehensive on-the-job training and cross-training opportunities, which not only prepare them for immediate tasks but also enhance their skills for possible career advancement within the company. As a Production Team Partner, your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough inspections of garments as they move through the steam tunnel, ensuring they meet UniFirst’s rigorous 20-point quality inspection standards. You will work collaboratively with your team to maintain the highest levels of quality assurance while adhering to safety policies and health guidelines. This position offers the valuable perk of a 40-hour work week with weekends off, supporting a healthy work-life balance. The role requires standing for the full shift and involves manual handling of garments, including lifting and pushing tasks. Job Requirements

  • High school education or GED equivalent preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
  • Ability to communicate clearly with management
  • Ability to perform basic math with American standard units
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds and push up to 25 pounds
  • Must comply with UniFirst attendance and performance policies during 90-day probation

Job Qualifications

  • High school education and/or GED equivalent preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to stand for 8-hour shift
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly with management
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions using American standard units in weight, measurement, volume, and distance
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. and push up to 25 lbs.

Job Duties

  • Count garments
  • Hang garments to be processed through the steam tunnel
  • Visually inspect all garments for tears, holes, stains, and damage
  • Ensure all garments pass the UniFirst 20-point uniform inspection process
  • Follow all safety policies, HACCP and medical guidelines
  • Perform other duties as described by area supervisor or management
