While experience in clean-room or contamination control environments is a plus, it is not mandatory. The position primarily involves sorting, handling, and processing garments in a controlled environment where attention to detail and adherence to procedures are critical. This includes wearing appropriate clean-room attire, sorting articles by material type, operating washers and dryers, inspecting garments for damage, and preparing items for packaging according to strict guidelines. Job Requirements
- Less than high school education
- up to one month related experience or training
- ability to read limited two-three-syllable words
- ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers
- ability to print and speak simple sentences
- ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
- ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- ability to perform mathematical operations using American units
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions
- ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- ability to stand frequently
- ability to follow established clean-room procedures
- ability to work in wet and/or humid conditions
Job Qualifications
- Less than high school education
- up to one month related experience or training
- ability to read a limited number of two-three-syllable words
- ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers

- ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
- ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- ability to perform operations using units of American money, weight, volume, and distance
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
- ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations
Job Duties
- Sort articles by item and material type
- gown in clean-room garments with a minimum of a hood, coverall, boots and gloves
- follow best practices for clean-room environments
- weigh articles, load articles into washer, start washer
- remove clean, wet articles from washer and place them into dryers for measured time cycles
- turn/right articles as necessary in preparation of packaging
- inspect for damage
- mend torn/damaged articles as necessary
- bundle/package articles in accordance with work order requirements
