Job Description

The Production Supervisor position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, catering to the dynamic scheduling needs of the culinary operation, which runs seven days a week, including evenings and weekends. The role comes with a competitive pay range of $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of leadership in maintaining smooth operations in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment. In this role, the Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation and quality control of food items within their designated areas. This includes assigning tasks to kitchen associates to ensure efficient production flow, enforcing proper food storage and handling protocols, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen. The supervisor also plays a key role in equipment oversight by reporting maintenance needs promptly. Serving as the acting leader in the absence of the Sous Chef, the Production Supervisor is tasked with training, scheduling, and providing discipline to team members, fostering a professional and productive work environment.
The position requires at least one to two years of supervisory culinary experience coupled with a ServSafe Certification, ensuring the individual is well-versed in food safety standards vital to campus dining operations. This requirement highlights the role's emphasis on leadership combined with deep culinary knowledge and stringent adherence to health regulations.

Job Requirements
- At least high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience in culinary environment
- ServSafe Certification
- Ability to work varying days and hours including evenings and weekends
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Capability to maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety
- Availability to work full or part-time schedules in a 7 day operation
Job Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of supervisory culinary experience

Job Duties
- Prepares food items necessary for assigned area
- Assigns specific duties to associates under supervision for efficient operation of the kitchen
- Ensures proper storage and handling of products
- Uses portion, presentation and recipe controls
- Maintains cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including food and non-food working areas
- Reports equipment repair and maintenance to appropriate supervisor or facility department
- Supervises team members in absence of Sous Chef
- Disciplines, trains and schedules associates
- Performs other duties as assigned
