The role of Production Supervisor at Nelson Global is vital for maintaining excellence in manufacturing operations. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all employees on a specified shift, ensuring that production targets are achieved within deadlines while upholding quality and safety standards. This leadership position requires active management of workforce performance including tasks such as assigning work, monitoring productivity, and addressing performance issues in conjunction with Human Resources. The supervisor will also be directly involved in hiring decisions, disciplinary measures, and fostering a positive work environment that promotes continuous improvement.
Your day-to-day will include communicating production goals to team leads and associates, facilitating training programs for skill development, and ensuring that safety protocols are strictly adhered to through collaboration with the Safety Manager. Your leadership will be critical in recommending and supporting projects geared toward process improvements and operational excellence. Additionally, you will routinely interact with different departments to align production plans with overall company objectives and adapt quickly to changing priorities. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, business administration, or related fields preferred
- minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- at least two years of supervisory experience preferred
- relevant training and certification in industrial production, engineering, or any related field
- ability to prioritize, follow through, and build relationships
- knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment
- excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- ability to develop and train employees
- excellent problem-solving skills
- strong work ethic
- computer proficiency in MS Windows and Office Applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- ability to assist in driving change within the facility

Job Duties
- Supervise and manage the team of employees on the specified shift to ensure production expectations and deadlines are met
- supervise the shift employees, including corrective action and performance requirements, working with Human Resources if discipline is necessary
- communicate the daily Production plan to Team Leads and Associates
- meet with employees to discuss daily goals and objectives as well as Company and department updates
- create training plans for employee development and assign primary and backup roles for critical positions
- work with the Safety manager to ensure all guidelines are followed and the correct PPE always worn
- recommend, drive and support Continuous Improvement projects
- other tasks as required by the Plant Manager
