The current opportunity available at LEGENDS GLOBAL is for a Production Specialist based at the Oakland Arena and Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. This is an hourly-paid position starting at $28.00 per hour and offers immediate employment. Reporting directly to the Director of Events, the Production Specialist plays a crucial role in event execution and logistics. The position requires hands-on involvement from the early stages of event load-in to the complete load-out and wrap-up phases. As a vital liaison between the facility and promoters or clients, the Production Specialist ensures all aspects of event production—ranging from concerts, sporting events, community gatherings, corporate functions, to family shows—are executed seamlessly. This includes coordinating with various union crews, security teams, and internal departments to guarantee successful events that comply with safety regulations and contractual agreements. The role demands someone who can thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. The Production Specialist will be involved in event setup, credentialing, communication facilitation, and special projects as assigned, making this role both dynamic and critical to the overall success of the venue operations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum of 2-4 years experience in medium to large scale music venues, arenas, stadiums, or concert touring
- previous event or production experience involving setup, load-out, audio, video, lighting, rigging, or sporting event operations
- ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to perform strenuous duties such as moving extensively around the facility, standing for long periods, kneeling, stooping, lifting up to 50 pounds, working inside and outside in various weather conditions
- ability to use respirator or PPE when necessary
- basic computer knowledge including Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- strong organizational and communication skills
- ability to follow safety rules, company policies, and emergency procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2-4 years experience in medium to large scale music venues, arenas, stadiums, or concert touring
- event or production experience involving event setup, load-out, audio, video, lighting, rigging, or sporting events involving field setup, crowd control, broadcast, and game operations
- ability to create strong relationships and work independently or as part of a team
- outstanding customer service skills
- ability to read and interpret documents, manuals, floor plans, assignment sheets, and safety rules
- basic knowledge of event setup, tear down and requisition conversions
- excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- ability to work independently using judgment and initiative
- ability to work effectively under pressure
- effective communication and proactive problem-solving skills
- passion for concert, sports, production event management, or event operations
- possess any required licenses, certificates or training for operation of facility equipment
Job Duties
- Work with event managers to understand expectations of a successful event
- serve as facility liaison to promoters and clients
- execute event needs based on event manager, promoter, and client requests
- work with SEIU, IATSE 107, and 784 union crew members and contractors to ensure satisfactory work and compliance with Legends Global standards and contractual agreements
- assist security with credentialing and guest access
- facilitate interdepartmental communication and organization
- assist department and organization with various projects and special assignments
