Job Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in commercial cooking or apprenticeship or certification from culinary school
  • Experience with Asian cuisine
  • Knowledge of food and hygiene regulations (HACCP)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage food costs and control stock levels
  • Availability to work on-site in Boston

Job Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in commercial cooking or apprenticeship or certification from culinary school
  • Experience with Asian cuisine, particularly Korean cuisine
  • Knowledge of food and hygiene regulations including HACCP
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Service orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
  • Understanding of financial controls related to food cost management

Job Duties

  • Executes and supervises food production activities such as cleaning, cutting, marinating, seasoning, and cooking
  • Assumes responsibilities of Executive Chef when unavailable including menu presentations
  • Supervises, coordinates, and controls kitchen helpers in food storage and preparation
  • Conducts, coordinates, and supervises inventories
  • Monitors material consumption and orders required food and equipment
  • Participates in development of food products and menus
  • Maintains and monitors hygiene, health, and safety standards according to HACCP
  • Conducts quality control checks and compliance with recipe specifications
  • Guides, motivates, and develops subordinate employees
  • Implements and controls cost budget and initiates corrective actions
