Job Description
We are a well-established entertainment production company with a strong presence in the Greater Boston area, specializing in live events and tour management across multiple renowned venues in the region. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional support to productions, ensuring smooth operations and an outstanding experience for both performers and audience members. We collaborate closely with high-profile venues such as Fenway Park, MGM Music Hall, Gillette Stadium, TD Garden, Xfinity Center, SNHU Arena, DCU Center, Amica Mutual Pavilion, Orpheum Theatre, and Leader Bank Pavilion, among others. Our company prides itself on its professional approach, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and confidentiality in all aspects of event production.
We are currently seeking runners for the 2026 season to join our dynamic production teams working across these venues. This is a regional position that requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, and excellent driving skills due to the multiple site locations involved. The role of a runner is vital to supporting the production department by handling a variety of tasks which predominantly include running errands, transporting crew members, and assisting with logistical needs before, during, and after shows. As a runner, you will report to venue or tour production managers and provide essential services such as transporting crew safely between airports, hotels, venues, and local stores, purchasing necessary materials, facilitating meal orders, coordinating laundry pickups, and maintaining accurate records of cash and receipts.
This role involves considerable driving across the Boston metropolitan area and neighboring cities such as Worcester, Manchester (NH), Mansfield, and Providence. Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license, an excellent driving record, and the ability to safely operate passenger vans. The position demands a high level of discretion and confidentiality, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a professional and courteous attitude at all times. The work schedule is demanding, with typical days extending up to 16 hours, so flexibility and stamina are essential.
In addition to driving, runners will be expected to assist with various production-related tasks, including maintaining seasonal vehicle rentals, handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and offering local area expertise to production personnel. The role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, excellent communicators, and capable of working independently while demonstrating problem-solving skills and cultural sensitivity towards diverse music and art forms.
The hiring process will commence in March with anticipated work starting in May, and candidates will be required to complete a driving orientation and pass a Motor Vehicle Background Check prior to employment. Compensation for this position ranges from $16.00 to $20.00 per hour, dependent on qualifications, skills, experience, and market location. This opportunity is perfect for individuals seeking to be part of exciting live event productions while contributing to a high-functioning team in one of the most vibrant entertainment markets in the United States.
