As a Production Kitchen Cook 2, the selected candidate will play a critical role in maintaining food quality standards, ensuring guest satisfaction while executing intermediate food preparation and cooking duties. Responsibilities include seasoning and cooking meat and vegetables, assisting daily operations in specialized kitchen areas such as Garde Manger and the Butcher Shop, preparing food items according to detailed recipes and specifications, and correctly filling requisitions to support smooth kitchen logistics. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • six months of related experience required
  • ability to achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days
  • ability to complete Culinary Academy within 12 months
  • ability to work irregular hours including late nights early mornings weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to perform tasks including talking hearing walking climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching standing sitting and moving for prolonged periods in a physically demanding fast-paced environment
  • ability to lift carry push pull or move objects up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • specific vision abilities including close color distance peripheral depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrate intermediate culinary skills

  • basic math skills including adding subtracting multiplying dividing and counting using whole numbers and fractions

Job Duties

  • Perform intermediate food preparation and cooking duties including seasoning and cooking meat and vegetables and assisting daily operations of Garde Manger and Butcher Shop
  • prepare food items according to specifications and recipes
  • fill requisitions correctly and check orders before delivery to kitchens
  • use and clean kitchen surfaces equipment and utensils including ovens grills food processors slicers and knives safely
  • maintain a safe sanitary and organized working environment working closely with stewards
  • learn to perform skilled kitchen and cooking duties and assist other members of the culinary team
  • assist in storing and rotating inventories as needed
  • perform opening and closing duties as needed
  • work at other kitchens venues as assigned based on business needs and to gain knowledge
  • perform job duties in full compliance with departmental internal controls policies procedures and regulations
  • perform other duties as assigned
