The role available is a Food Preparation Team Member position that plays a crucial part in maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation within various departments such as the cold case, fresh pack, salad bar, and hot bars. This position involves preparing food items according to recipes and production sheets, ensuring consistency and adherence to company quality standards. Maintaining cleanliness, timely replenishment of food items, and providing excellent customer service are integral functions in this role. Team Members are expected to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment, following all health and safety regulations, and contributing to a positive shopping experience for customers. This hourly role offers a wage range between $15.50 and $29.20, depending on experience, and comes with a comprehensive benefits package called "Whole Benefits," which includes options for full and part-time employees. Job Requirements

  • must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • must stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday
  • able to perform hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
  • capable of bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • capable of working in temperatures less than 32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing) and between 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerator), and over 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • ability to work in both wet and dry conditions
  • must work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • able to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks and other heavy machinery
  • may require the use of ladders

Job Duties

  • prepares food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars according to production sheets
  • prepares food items according to recipe to ensure quality and consistency
  • ensures all prepared items are labeled, dated, covered, monitored for quality and freshness, and rotated
  • monitors food levels and replenishes in a timely manner
  • provides excellent customer service and addresses customer needs promptly
  • maximizes sales potential through proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
  • follows established procedures including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
