Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in high-volume food production and catering
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
  • Ability to manage purchasing and inventory
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven customer service experience
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Time management skills
  • Current or obtainable ServSafe certification
  • Basic computer proficiency including Office 365
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Capacity to work flexible hours including Tuesday through Saturday
  • Ability to travel between multiple locations
  • Meet Mississippi Market's safe driver requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in high-volume scratch cooking and catering
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Supervisory experience in a food service environment
  • Ability to train, coach, and provide feedback
  • Experience ordering and purchasing ingredients
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Exceptional customer service abilities
  • Critical thinking and time management skills
  • Current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 3 months
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Preferred experience in recipe development
  • Multilingual communication skills

Job Duties

  • Assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing kitchen operations
  • Ensure efficient daily workflow of prepared foods production
  • Supervise, train, and develop kitchen staff
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • Monitor quality control of food products
  • Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Support purchasing and inventory management
