Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • ability to lift and handle heavy bags of flour, sugar, and baking materials up to 50 pounds
  • proficiency in operating heated ovens and baking appliances
  • adaptability to fast-paced and friendly work environments
  • basic math skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior baking experience preferred
  • knowledge of baking techniques and food safety standards
  • ability to operate baking machinery
  • strong attention to detail
  • good organizational skills
  • ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Make and bake a variety of baked goods including pies, cookies, pastries, cakes, and bread
  • manage oven and baking equipment to ensure proper temperature and cooking
  • monitor ingredient stock, order supplies as needed, and organize storage
  • maintain cleanliness of baking tools, workstations, and utensils
  • inspect baked goods regularly to ensure quality in appearance, texture, and taste
  • complete daily par sheets for production targets
  • comply with food safety and health department regulations
