Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • capability to lift and handle heavy baking ingredients up to 50 pounds
  • experience working with ovens and baking equipment
  • flexibility to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
  • adherence to food safety standards
  • good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • experience in baking or production baking preferred
  • knowledge of baking techniques and equipment operation
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and production instructions
  • good physical stamina and manual dexterity
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment

Job Duties

  • Make and bake a variety of baked goods including pies, cookies, pastries, cakes, and bread
  • operate ovens and baking equipment to ensure proper temperatures and perfect baking
  • monitor ingredient levels, order supplies as needed, and organize ingredient storage
  • maintain cleanliness of baking tools, workstations, and kitchen utensils to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment
  • perform regular quality checks on baked goods for appearance, texture, and flavor
  • follow company food safety guidelines and health department standards
  • adjust production levels according to daily par sheet requirements
