Job Requirements

  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift and handle heavy bags of ingredients up to 50 pounds
  • experience working with hot ovens and baking equipment
  • flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
  • good manual dexterity
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous baking experience preferred but not required
  • knowledge of baking techniques and procedures
  • ability to operate baking machinery safely
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to follow precise recipes and guidelines
  • good physical stamina
  • strong work ethic and reliability

Job Duties

  • Make and bake a variety of baked goods including pies, cookies, pastries, cakes, and bread
  • operate ovens and baking equipment to ensure proper temperatures and cooking
  • monitor ingredient inventory and order supplies as necessary
  • organize ingredient storage in an efficient manner
  • maintain cleanliness of baking tools, workstations, and utensils to ensure a safe work environment
  • regularly evaluate baked products to ensure quality in appearance, texture, and taste
  • adhere to food safety and health department standards
