The role involves working as a Meat Processor in a refrigerated food manufacturing environment, focusing on preparing meat products for further processing or direct use in food services. The position requires adherence to strict food safety protocols and good manufacturing practices (GMP), ensuring that all products meet company and customer specifications. Employees in this role will utilize various tools and processes to handle meat products, perform visual inspections, and assist with maintaining cleanliness in the work area. The job operates in cold environments, including refrigerated areas between 35°F and 45°F and freezer settings from -10°F to 10°F, with company-provided apparel for protection. This is a physically demanding role that requires continuous standing and lifting within specified weight ranges, along with abilities to push, pull, step, climb, stoop, kneel, bend, and grasp objects continuously or frequently.

Compensation for this role ranges from $18.00 to $19.00 per hour depending on experience, education, and other factors, with the possibility of overtime. Job Requirements

  • Able to work continually in a refrigerated environment 35°F-45°F
  • Able to work for periods of time in a freezer environment -10°F to +10°F with company provided apparel
  • Must be able to work overtime with or without notice
  • Finish time is when work is completed
  • Must be able to perform physical activities including continuous standing, frequent lifting of 10-100 lbs, frequent pushing/pulling, stepping, climbing, stooping, kneeling, bending, and grasping objects
  • High school graduate or GED preferred
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills
  • Experience in production, warehouse, food processing or related environments preferred
  • Willingness to complete miscellaneous and other assigned duties
  • Ability to adhere to company food safety and GMP standards

  • Experience in production, warehouse, food processing, manufacturing, food production or food service warehouse environments preferred
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to perform activities such as product receiving and selection, packaging, sorting, re-boxing, marination, further processing and facility sanitation
  • Knowledge of company manufacturing requirements and safety regulations
  • Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments

Job Duties

  • Work in a fast-paced environment preparing meat products to feed lines and/or prepare for the next stage of processing
  • Effectively utilize tools, processes, and materials to process and package meat products within planned schedules
  • Follow all food safety requirements and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Perform visual inspection of meat products to meet certain specifications
  • Meet company standards and customer specifications
  • Assist in cleanliness of general work area
