Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum 2 years experience in similar production or supervisory role
  • Experience in inflight catering or related food production environment preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience managing multiple non-exempt employees
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA, HR, and employment laws
  • Ability to handle emotionally charged situations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar production assistant or supervisory role
  • Experience in inflight catering, airport hub environments, food production, manufacturing, or kitchen environments preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience leading multiple non-exempt employees
  • Strong communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and de-escalation
  • Knowledge of OSHA, HR, and employment laws
  • Understanding of investigation procedures and root cause analysis
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards

Job Duties

  • Supervise and manage the work of all employees in the department
  • Motivate and inspire team members to perform above expectations through recognition methods and programs
  • Ensure all policies and procedures comply with Newrest and client requirements
  • Communicate effectively with all crew and team members
  • Hold team members accountable for expectations
  • Ensure meal orders are filled accurately, timely, and with high quality according to datasheets and client requirements
  • Ensure operational processes are efficient
  • Empower team members to identify and resolve operational issues
  • Communicate concerns and recommendations to management
  • Coordinate with supply department for stock needs
  • Anticipate production issues and implement action plans
  • Communicate confidently with client representatives
  • Fill in as needed to maintain operational flow
  • Ensure all processes conform to customer and Newrest specifications
  • Comply with hygiene and manufacturing practices such as HACCP and FIFO
  • Oversee cleaning, washing, and sanitation in accordance with plans
  • Investigate and document incidents and accidents
  • Enforce safety and legal requirements
  • Conduct interviews and hiring for department
  • Approve time off and leaves
  • Perform performance reviews
  • Approve timecards and resolve discrepancies
  • Mentor and coach team members
  • Maintain regular and timely attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
