Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in food engineering, food science, engineering in biotechnology or a similar discipline
  • 1+ years of food R&D experience preferably across food and beverage categories
  • Agility, adaptability and ability to thrive in a dynamic and changing culture
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with solid collaboration ability
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to create new procedures and processes
  • Problem solver with a general manager mindset and initiative
  • Strong planning, project management, and execution skills
  • Data-driven analytical skills and ability to present data effectively
  • Ability to work well in teams and cross-functional groups regionally and globally
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Excel
  • Ability to travel at least 20% of the time
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Food Science, Engineering in Biotechnology or related discipline
  • 1+ years of food R&D experience preferred across food and beverage categories
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Ability to work effectively in a startup environment with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong planning, project management, and execution skills
  • Rigorous data-driven analytical capability and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to work well in teams and matrixed cross-functional groups
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Duties

  • Independently conduct day-to-day product development activities as directed by the manager across multiple projects
  • Support activities related to the full product lifecycle process from product concept to commercial launch
  • Design and execute bench-top tests, pilot-plant trials and full-scale formulations to develop high-quality food products
  • Use sensory and analytical analysis to guide and validate the development process
  • Maintain detailed documentation, experiment tracking and outcomes, and document finished goods and ingredient specifications
  • Provide feedback to project lead regarding relevant technical and process information
  • Communicate proactively and effectively with cross-functional teams about new product development goals
  • Utilize proprietary AI technology to develop and improve food products
  • Support formula validation, process development, scale-up and technology transfer
  • Maintain detailed documentation across all R&D activities in a timely manner
