Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in food engineering, food science, engineering in biotechnology or similar discipline
- 1+ years of food research and development experience is desired, preferably across both food and beverage categories
- Ability to be agile, adaptable, and thrive in a dynamic and changing culture
- Capacity to work relentlessly to overachieve and anticipate and overcome obstacles
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities based on new project learnings and team needs
- Demonstrated competency in effective oral and written communication across teams
- Excels in a startup environment with a strong entrepreneurial mindset
- Problem-solving skills, general manager mindset, and initiative
- Strong planning, project management, and execution skills
- Rigorous data-driven and analytical capability with presence to present data to leadership
- Ability to work well in matrixed teams regionally and globally
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to travel at least 20% of the time
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Engineering, Food Science, Engineering in Biotechnology, or a similar discipline
- 1+ years of food R&D experience preferably across food and beverage categories
- Strong communication skills both oral and written across cross-functional teams
- Ability to thrive in a startup environment with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and initiative
- Strong planning, project management, and execution skills
- Rigorous data-driven and analytical capability
- Experience working in teams and cross-functional groups in a matrixed environment
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
Job Duties
- Independently conduct day-to-day product development activities across multiple projects
- Support activities related to the full product lifecycle process from product concept to commercial launch
- Assist with process development, scale-up, and technology transfer
- Design and execute bench-top tests, pilot-plant trials, and full-scale formulations
- Use sensory and analytical analysis to guide and validate development processes
- Maintain detailed documentation, experiment tracking, and finished goods and ingredient specifications
- Communicate proactively with cross-functional teams regarding new product development goals
- Utilize NotCo’s proprietary AI technology to improve food products
- Support formula validation activities
- Communicate effectively with R&D teams and internal/external stakeholders
