As a supermarket chain that emphasizes natural and organic products, the company is dedicated to improving how people eat while also supporting communities through initiatives such as funding school garden grants, increasing access to fresh and healthy food for underserved populations, and contributing to poverty alleviation in developing countries. Working at Whole Foods Market means becoming part of a global movement to revolutionize food retail and create positive change both locally and worldwide.
This career opportunity is for a Produce Team Member at Whole Foods Market, a role essential in maintaining the quality and presentation of fresh produce for customers. Positioned within the supermarket environment, this role involves responsibilities such as receiving deliveries, preparing product for the floor, maintaining organized and appealing displays, and engaging with customers to meet their needs. The position supports Whole Foods Market's standards of excellence through adherence to standard operating procedures and health and safety regulations, including the critical compliance with food safety requirements. The Produce Team Member contributes not only to operational success but also to customer satisfaction by ensuring fresh, well-stocked produce displays and providing courteous, informed service.
As a Produce Team Member, your day will include managing the freshness and attractiveness of produce displays by rotating stock, checking product codes, preventing spoilage, and promptly addressing waste. You will assist with organizing seasonal and volume products, perform inventory checks, and consummate openings, mid-day, and closing duties to ensure the department runs smoothly. This role requires a commitment to teamwork, the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, and a passion for natural foods aligning with Whole Foods Market's mission. With an hourly wage ranging from $17.00 to $25.40 depending on experience, this position offers a rewarding blend of personal growth, community impact, and professional responsibility within a respected company committed to sustainability and quality.
Opportunity for advancement is available, although it is contingent upon demonstrated performance, business needs, and qualifications. The position involves physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, and handling tools and equipment safely. Work schedules are flexible and may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Whole Foods Market embraces diversity and equal opportunity employment, welcoming candidates of all backgrounds to apply through official company channels to ensure authenticity of job postings. Benefits are available for full and part-time employees under the Whole Benefits program, featuring offerings such as store discounts, paid time off, financial wellness programs, and health support.
