The role available is for a member of the Produce team, aimed at individuals who want to contribute to the company’s mission in a hands-on capacity. This position entails the receipt and preparation of produce products, maintaining the produce floor and displays, and supporting sales efforts to uphold Whole Foods Market’s high standards. Team members are responsible for breaking down deliveries, stocking shelves, and ensuring a clean and inviting produce environment. The position requires collaboration with Team Leaders and other members while adhering to store and team standard operating procedures.
This is an hourly position with a wage range of $16.00 to $25.40, commensurate with experience. Eligibility for benefits varies by location, length of service, and job type. New entry-level team members who successfully complete their first 90 days may be eligible for a base rate increase.
The role demands attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for natural foods. Team members are expected to deliver exceptional customer service by addressing customer needs promptly and effectively, using suggestive selling techniques, and participating in trainings and meetings. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, stand or walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift, and perform motions such as bending, twisting, and squatting. The role may also include handling tools and equipment like knives, box cutters, pallet jacks, and ladders, as well as working in varying temperature and weather conditions.
Whole Foods Market is committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other legally protected status.
