Whole Foods Market is currently seeking a dedicated Produce Team Member to join its dynamic retail team. The Produce Team Member will assist in receiving and preparing products, managing displays, and upholding company standards related to product handling and safety.

Job Requirements

  • No prior retail experience required
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand or walk 6-8 hours during an 8-hour workday
  • Hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
  • Capable of motions like bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to work in temperatures around 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • May require use of ladders

Job Duties

  • Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing, checking codes, rotating and removing out-of-date products
  • Assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items
  • Monitors and prevents spoilage and communicates waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor
  • Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required
  • Assists with periodic inventory checks
  • Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work
  • Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques
  • Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
  • Follows and complies with established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
  • Immediately reports safety hazards and violations
  • Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
