Job Requirements

At least 2 years working as operator in related industry
high school or GED required
basic computer literacy required capacity to understand a computer operating system
ability to use production computer screens as instructed
ability to train other production operators
SQF training GMP training SOP training
ability to complete skill assessments with passing scores as defined by Puratos
ability to read and understand system instruction and training materials and show ability to execute
ability to work overtime when mandated in accordance with the contract
ability to work independently
frequently lift up to 55-75 lbs
occasional sitting stooping twisting kneeling squatting push pull reaching and gripping
frequent standing and walking
constant visual acuity near far
never climbing balancing or crawling
occasional exposure to uneven ground excessive noise extreme temperatures working at heights dust fumes and hazards
frequent exposure to machinery

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
at least 2 years working as operator in related industry
basic computer literacy with ability to understand computer operating system
ability to use production computer screens as instructed
ability to train other production operators
SQF training GMP training SOP training
ability to complete skill assessments with passing scores as defined by Puratos
ability to read and understand system instruction and training materials and execute accordingly
ability to work overtime when mandated in accordance with contract
ability to work independently

Job Duties

Safely work with automated industrial equipment including operation change over and basic maintenance
report all food safety and quality issues to immediate supervisor and quality technician
immediately report any safety issues to the supervisor maintenance or management
responsible for the overall safety quality and efficiency of their work center
maintain a neat and sanitary work area at all times
demonstrate the ability to operate and understand control system
learn specific UHT areas until mastery is confirmed by completing training and testing requirements
perform scaling manual dumping supersack dosing packaging equipment operation running CIPs and forklift operation
rotate positions as needed
review and start production orders in MES and the process control system
collaborate with maintenance to resolve mechanical issues
ensure production is not impeded throughout the shift
identify production changes and suggest corrective actions
operate and run CIP systems via the process control system
