Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in basic customer service work including reserving tee times, answering public inquiries, ringing up merchandise sales and maintaining accurate records
  • valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • successful completion of local and state criminal history background check and sex offender registry check
  • cannot be listed as having a founded child abuse or neglect complaint
  • ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
  • ability to sit, walk or stand for periods of time
  • ability to communicate effectively in standard English
  • ability to perform simple one- or two-step instructions
  • ability to handle automated office and golfing equipment
  • ability to differentiate colors and shades
  • ability to talk and hear, including effective telephone communication

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Facilitate the collection of funds derived from sale of golf merchandise and services
  • determine the type and quantity of golf merchandise for the pro shop
  • maintain current inventory for the pro shop and restaurant
  • assist the public with golfing rules and regulations
  • assist with golf tournaments as needed
  • plan and promote functions to generate operating revenues
  • oversee publishing and distribution of informational and promotional literature
  • coordinate and communicate with media, commercial firms, civic organizations, and the public to promote the golf courses
  • establish, coordinate, and maintain filing and record systems
  • provide information to the public and screen inquiries and complaints
  • ensure compliance with city codes, state regulations, design, and construction standards
  • maintain safety and housekeeping standards
  • manage and supervise assigned staff
  • maintain effective communication with departments and public
