Job Description

Rose Senior Living Farmington Hills is a distinguished senior living community that offers a warm and welcoming environment for its residents. Known for its commitment to quality care and exceptional customer service, Rose Senior Living provides an enriching atmosphere where seniors can enjoy comfort, dignity, and a vibrant lifestyle. As part of Edward Rose & Sons, a company with a long-standing history and dedication to senior living, this location prides itself on fostering a culture centered around respect, compassion, and active community engagement. With a strong focus on the future of senior care, Rose Senior Living invests not only in its residents but also in its employees, promoting growth, training, and opportunities for advancement. The community emphasizes a holistic approach to wellness, encouraging social interaction, physical activity, and mental stimulation. Beyond just a place to live, Rose Senior Living Farmington Hills is a supportive home where staff and residents alike are valued members of a caring family.

The role of the PRN/On-Call Concierge at Rose Senior Living Farmington Hills is essential to the smooth operation and overall resident experience. This hospitality-driven position is often the first point of contact for residents, guests, prospective employees, vendors, and service providers, playing a critical role in shaping the community's welcoming atmosphere. Unlike a traditional full-time role, the On-Call Concierge position provides flexible scheduling without a set weekly routine, offering shifts as needed to cover time off, vacations, call-offs, busy periods, and special events. This flexibility makes it an excellent fit for individuals seeking part-time opportunities or supplemental income with variable hours. Job shifts commonly available include early and late shifts on weekdays and weekends, providing convenient options to match personal schedules.

In this role, the concierge is responsible for greeting visitors and residents warmly and professionally, providing telephone support, managing maintenance requests promptly, logging deliveries, assisting department clerical tasks, and resolving concerns with empathy and professionalism. The On-Call Concierge is expected to maintain a consistent, attentive presence at the front desk, ensuring all interactions reflect the hospitality promises of Rose Senior Living. Team collaboration is critical, as is effective communication across shifts to maintain continuity and high standards of service. The role requires multitasking abilities, a calm demeanor, and a strong commitment to customer service in a fast-paced environment. Reliability, flexibility, and accountability are highly valued traits that often lead to additional shifts and potential full-time or part-time employment opportunities at the community.

This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $16 to $19, depending on experience. Employees benefit from a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, health and dental insurance options, employee discounts, and a 401K savings plan with employer match. The organization supports employee well-being through programs like an Employee Assistance Program, health savings accounts, and daily pay options. Overall, this role provides a meaningful way for individuals passionate about senior care and hospitality to make a difference in the lives of older adults, while enjoying a supportive work environment and opportunities for growth.
