Job Duties

  • Greeting residents, residents' families and friends, salespersons, and other visitors and directing each according to their needs
  • Maintaining the reception area in a friendly, clean, organized, and professional manner
  • Answering all incoming telephone calls and making connections with proper persons
  • Taking messages or forwarding calls to voicemail for department heads and supervisors
  • Assuring all clerical information worked on at the front desk is kept confidential and secure per Hooverwood and HIPAA policies and guidelines
  • Responsible for locking/unlocking the front door at designated time
  • Providing additional clerical support for the Business Office, Medical Records, Nursing Administration, Human Resources, and other tasks assigned by the Front Desk Coordinator
  • Creating Resident Admission Forms, business and thank you letters, and other requested documents or spreadsheets by using the front desk computer
