Job Requirements
- Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position
- Adhere to professional integrity and accountability standards
- Comply with all federal state and local laws rules and regulations
- Provide proof of valid driver’s license and driving record in good standing
- Complete required ICS 300 and ICS 400 courses within 3 months of hire
- Maintain cultural competence and collaborate effectively with staff and clients
- Communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
- Maintain intermediate to advanced computer literacy especially Microsoft Suite
- Be detail oriented and organized
- Perform physical activities including walking stretching bending and occasional lifting of 50 lbs
- Work extended and non-traditional hours including evenings weekends holidays and austere conditions
- Travel for extended periods as required
- Utilize various communication systems including cellular two-way radio and satellite
- Accept alternate sleeping arrangements when hotel accommodations are not available
- Pass scheduled or spontaneous drug screening
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered current paramedic license in state of residence
- Current paramedic license in Texas Louisiana Florida and/or North Carolina preferred
- Current NREMT preferred
- Advanced Life Support ALS certification preferred
- Minimum of one year experience as a paramedic
- Completion of ICS 100 ICS 200 ICS 700 and ICS 800 courses
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Emotional intelligence and professional conduct
Job Duties
- Collect enter and ensure documentation for medical staff at designated sites to meet program guidelines
- Maintain confidentiality of health care records and information in compliance with HIPAA and company protocols
- Perform and supervise medical staff to perform clinic duties
- Direct train medical staff and coordinate services following applicable policies and guidelines
- Monitor established health care plans for service populations within required timeframes
- Assist with process improvement by reviewing writing and updating medical protocols and procedures
- Participate in assist or supervise incident management workforce conducting disaster preparedness response and recovery initiatives
