Job Requirements
- Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position

- Accept alternate sleeping arrangements when necessary
- Successfully pass scheduled or random drug screenings
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered current Paramedic license in state of residence required
- Current Paramedic license in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, or North Carolina preferred
- Current NREMT preferred
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification preferred
- Minimum of one year experience as a Paramedic
- Completion of ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 courses
- Completion of ICS 300 and 400 within 3 months of hire
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy specifically in Microsoft Suite
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
Job Duties
- Collect, enter, and ensure documentation for medical staff meets program guidelines
- Maintain confidentiality of health care records in compliance with HIPAA
- Perform and occasionally supervise medical staff clinic duties
- Direct and train medical staff and coordinate services following policies and guidelines
- Monitor healthcare plans within established timeframes
- Assist with process improvement by reviewing and updating medical protocols
- Participate in or supervise incident management workforce during disaster initiatives
- Serve flexibly in critical response roles with problem-solving in operational issues
- Support disaster survivors and communities by being available for deployment
- Maintain personal readiness to deploy within 6-12 hours
- Update availability monthly through National EMR mobile app
- Work extended 12+ hour shifts in austere conditions
- Exercise emotional intelligence and professional communication
- Other duties as assigned
