Currently, The Wesleyan is seeking a Server to join its Independent Living community on a PRN or "as needed" basis. This role caters to individuals passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and culinary support in a senior living environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a server in settings such as restaurants, healthcare, education, or senior living communities and will bring enthusiasm for creating excellent dining experiences. The Server will play a vital role in the daily lives of residents by preparing and serving meals, maintaining dining areas, and ensuring an inviting and pleasant atmosphere.

The position involves working shifts from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM on varying days, including weekends. It demands someone who can maintain stamina for standing long periods and has strong organizational and time management skills. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
ability to read, write and speak English
physical stamina to stand for long periods of time
experience working as a server in restaurant, healthcare, education, or senior living environment

Job Duties

Preparing drinks, salads, foods, and desserts and set them up as directed
prepare dining room and trays for meals
greet residents and ensure that their dining experience is going well
serve meals to residents in the dining room and/or rooms, and be available to check for seconds and substitutions
general cleaning duties including dishes, pots and pans, equipment, dining room, floors, tables, work areas, etc
may be responsible for the proper disposal of trash
may be required to complete other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef and/or Director of Dining Service
