Job Requirements

  • Proven 2-3 years' experience in sales or event management or catering
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, management, and ownership
  • Positive attitude and strong communication abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Proven 2-3 years' experience in sales, events, catering, or other relevant positions is preferred
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Good analytical/critical thinking
  • BS/BA in relevant field will be an advantage
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and fellow management team, as well as ownership
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Make on-site and field presentations to prospective clients
  • Scout and call prospective clients based on regional, city conferences and local businesses for seasonal events
  • Conduct unique site inspections that create a WOW experience for the customer
  • Maintain accurate sales system information on all bookings, specifically program details, client correspondence, and to-do lists
  • Originate and carry out sales and catering campaigns
  • Produce, oversee and distribute 10-day Events Schedule and BEO Packet
  • Respond to all customer inquiries within 24 hours or sooner
  • Follow proper event management procedures for event execution to include but not limited to BEO creation, F&B forecasting, resume communication, and amenity/VIP designation
  • Produce, oversee and distribute accurate banquet/catering event orders, timelines, diagrams, and resumes within timeframe set by property
  • Provide client support to include processing client leads, investigating member and program issues, and acquiring or sending collateral materials
  • Develops and maintains client files
  • Partners with Operations in providing a customer experience that exceeds the customers' expectations
