Job Requirements
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
- Must be able to follow policies and procedures with discretion in non-routine situations
- Ability to initiate, plan, and manage meetings
- Ability to focus on details, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 25 lbs
- Willingness to participate in criminal background check
- Ability to say no to requests when necessary
- Comfortable giving direction to staff and lay leadership
Job Qualifications
- Membership at River City Community Church preferred
- Familiarity with church or parachurch organization operations preferred
- Experience in planning and executing special events such as banquets or weddings
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and project management software preferred
- Ability to handle conflict biblically and with tact
- Demonstrated spiritual maturity and stable Christian walk
Job Duties
- Serve as the team lead for private funerals and memorial services
- Act as the primary interface between families and the Private Events Team
- Oversee communication, room scheduling, and event planning from inquiry to follow-up
- Be present in-person during the entire duration of each event
- Manage event logistics ensuring smooth flow and organization
- Coordinate with church staff and volunteers as needed
- Handle sensitive information and resolve conflicts with grace and tact
