Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Less than 1 year related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier items with assistance
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety and security policies
  • Willingness to maintain professional appearance
  • Support team objectives
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as described

Job Duties

  • Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in Banquet Event Order
  • Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert tables/carts, and cordial carts
  • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
  • Ensure courses are cleared and tables are properly crumbed
  • Respond to and fulfill special banquet event arrangements
  • Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness
  • Monitor tableware to ensure it is presentable to guests
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas
  • Bus tables by removing and separating tableware, plateware, glassware, and flatware
  • Follow company and safety policies
  • Report accidents and unsafe conditions
  • Complete safety training
  • Maintain professional uniform and personal appearance
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests
  • Anticipate and address guests' service needs
  • Assist individuals with disabilities
  • Communicate clearly and professionally
  • Support team goals
  • Ensure quality standards
  • Read and verify information
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
