Job Description
Gibsons Restaurant Group is a prestigious restaurant and hospitality company known for delivering exceptional dining experiences centered around core values of hospitality, quality, value, and family. The group has established a strong reputation for providing excellent service, innovative cuisine, and an inviting atmosphere that guests appreciate. Operating multiple locations, Gibsons Restaurant Group aims to create memorable private dining events that reflect their commitment to customer satisfaction and superior quality in the culinary arts.
The role of PDR Sales Manager within Gibsons Restaurant Group is pivotal in ensuring the successful promotion and delivery of private dining services. This position is designed for a professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about building lasting client relationships while driving sales growth. The PDR Sales Manager serves as an essential liaison between front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations to guarantee seamless communication and event execution. This role is not only sales-driven but also highly customer-focused, requiring the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, coordinate with numerous stakeholders, and uphold the company's brand image at all times.
The responsibilities encompass the complete sales cycle from the initial inquiry, booking, and contracting, to the final event follow-up. The manager is tasked with booking group events within the group's parameters while adhering to established processes to meet or exceed sales goals. Their role involves a thorough understanding of each client's unique event requirements—ranging from food and beverage to setup and rentals—and ensuring that all details are accurately communicated to the event execution team. Strong negotiation skills are essential as this role involves closing sales, collecting deposits, and signing contracts to secure business.
Furthermore, the PDR Sales Manager is expected to actively participate in client-facing meetings during events to establish a personal connection and facilitate a smooth handoff to the onsite operational team. They play a key role in confirming billing accuracy and ensuring complete client satisfaction post-event. Moreover, understanding the competitive environmental landscape is critical, as the manager must stay informed about market trends and competitor offerings to maintain and grow the Gibsons brand effectively.
To succeed in this position, the applicant must demonstrate professionalism in communication, solid decision-making abilities, and resilience under pressure. Open availability, including evenings and weekends, is required as private dining events often occur outside traditional business hours. This role suits a motivated sales and hospitality professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and is eager to contribute to a company that values quality and customer service above all.
