Job Description
Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its extensive portfolio of hotels and luxury brands, including The Ritz-Carlton. With properties spanning more than 100 award-winning locations worldwide, Marriott emphasizes delivering exceptional guest experiences grounded in a culture of creativity, compassion, and thoughtful service. Marriott's commitment to diversity and inclusion fosters an environment that celebrates the unique backgrounds and talents of its associates, promoting equal opportunity for all. This dedication to excellence has positioned Marriott as a prestigious global brand with a strong reputation for quality and innovation in the hospitality sector.
This specific position is based in Denver, Colorado, at 1881 Curtis Street, and is a full-time, non-management role within the Sales and Marketing category. The hourly pay rate for this position is $25.23. As an integral part of Marriott's sales team, the role involves preparing various sales documents such as proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders throughout the sales process. The position focuses on promoting and maintaining brand awareness both internally among staff and externally with customers and clients. This includes assembling information packages with brochures and promotional materials, employing effective sales techniques to maximize revenue while ensuring existing guest loyalty, and supporting management in developing and executing revenue and marketing strategies for all outlets and room service.
A vital aspect of the role is developing and coordinating social media initiatives and beverage promotional programs to enhance customer engagement and drive sales. The sales associate is also responsible for entering, retrieving, reconciling, and verifying sales-related information such as commissions and leads in the relevant software systems. Customer service duties include responding to guest inquiries about property facilities, services, rates, room types, and special promotions, as well as coordinating reservation confirmations for special and holiday events involving parties of six or more in the restaurant. The role also requires coordinating the sale of food and beverages within hospitality suites through the Room Service Department.
Administrative responsibilities encompass general office support tasks like filing, emailing, typing, faxing, and copying to assist the Champions and Room Service teams. The position demands adherence to company policies, maintaining a professional appearance, confidentiality of proprietary information, and protection of company assets. The sales associate must welcome guests warmly, anticipate and address their service needs, and use clear and professional communication. Team collaboration is essential for reaching common goals and supporting a positive work environment. The role also involves compliance with quality assurance standards and handling physical tasks like lifting objects weighing up to 10 pounds and standing or walking for extended periods.
Marriott International offers a supportive work environment with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees' families, well-being, career growth, and work-life balance. Joining The Ritz-Carlton, a key Marriott brand, offers associates the opportunity to embody the "Gold Standards" of luxury hospitality, including the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values. These principles guide employees in delivering exceptional service daily, creating memorable experiences for guests worldwide. This role represents a unique opportunity to be part of a global hospitality leader, work alongside dedicated professionals, and develop a fulfilling career in a vibrant and dynamic setting.
