The community offers expansive outdoor spaces and residences filled with natural light and high ceilings, featuring stunning views of the peaceful and lush landscapes that characterize Sammamish. Aeon Senior Living prides itself on fostering a vibrant and supportive community where seniors can thrive enjoying their retirement years in comfort and style. The community is dedicated to holistic care that emphasizes physical, emotional, and social well-being, offering gourmet cuisine, engaging activities, and a robust wellness program tailored to enhance residents' quality of life and promote active living.
The role available at Aeon Senior Living is that of a Private Chef within the Culinary Services Department. This position is vital in maintaining the superior quality of food and dining experiences for the residents. The Private Chef, also referred to as the Cook, is responsible for full-scope hands-on production cooking. This includes ensuring that food handling, preparation, and service adhere to the highest standards of safety, sanitation, and quality. The Private Chef works under the guidance of the Director of Resident Care Services and plays a key role in supporting the community’s commitment to exceptional customer service and culinary excellence.
This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $22 to $25, with an additional monthly bonus tied to achieving budgeted occupancy targets. The work schedule is from 10 AM to 6 PM, Tuesday through Saturday, providing a stable and predictable work routine. The Private Chef must have a minimum of two years of applicable food service experience, preferably with culinary training or a degree in Culinary Arts. Experience in hotel, restaurant, or senior living settings is highly valued.
In this role, the Private Chef will be responsible for preparing meals according to established menus and nutritional criteria, maintaining food safety protocols, managing kitchen cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service to residents and guests. Other duties include grocery procurement, meal presentation, and assisting with dining room service to ensure that all residents receive an inclusive and signature dining experience.
The work environment requires the ability to perform medium physical work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds with occasional assistance. The position also demands compliance with health and safety regulations, first aid and CPR certification, and familiarity with local health department standards and OSHA regulations. The Private Chef is expected to participate in ongoing education and training to maintain professional credentials and support the community’s health and safety standards.
Overall, this position offers a fulfilling opportunity to contribute to a respected senior living community where culinary skills directly impact the quality of life for the residents. Aeon Senior Living is a place where maintaining a high standard of care and creating a welcoming, inclusive environment are paramount, making it an ideal workplace for professionals passionate about culinary arts and senior care.
