Job Description
Biospan is a pioneering health and wellness company dedicated to delivering personalized nutrition and lifestyle solutions aimed at enhancing overall well-being and performance. Through our innovative services, we focus on providing tailored dietary plans that align with individual health goals, utilizing holistic and science-backed approaches. Our flagship service, BioCheffing, is a nutrition-led culinary experience designed specifically for busy professionals who seek convenient yet high-quality meal preparation that supports their demanding work schedules and health priorities. Biospan stands out in the wellness industry by combining expert nutrition guidance with hands-on culinary expertise, ensuring that our clients receive not only nutritious meals but also an exceptional dining experience at home.
We are currently seeking a skilled Private Chef to join our BioCheffing team based in Birmingham. This role involves preparing one main meal per day, six days per week, but spread conveniently across two in-home cook days per week. The main focus of your role will be to deliver clean, organic, halal-friendly meals that maintain consistency and variety, meeting the specific nutritional needs of our clients. As a Private Chef with Biospan, you will cook directly in a client’s home, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and culinary excellence.
Your responsibilities include planning and preparing meals that follow Biospan’s clean nutrition framework, which emphasizes the use of organic, pasture-raised, and wild-caught ingredients to promote optimal health benefits. You will also be responsible for shopping for these ingredients while adhering to set budgets and managing receipts transparently. Portioning and storing meals in glass containers are key to preserving freshness and convenience for our clients, many of whom have variable and busy professional schedules. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our nutritionist team to ensure that meals remain varied and fully aligned with dietary requirements.
This position demands professionalism, discretion, and reliability, as you will often work independently in private homes. A strong understanding of halal dietary practices and cultural food handling standards is essential to meet the unique needs of our clientele. Furthermore, maintaining an immaculate kitchen environment and adhering strictly to food hygiene standards are critical elements of the job.
This role offers a unique opportunity for chefs who are passionate about healthy cooking and personalized nutrition. Those with private household experience will find this position especially rewarding, as it blends culinary skill with a health-driven mission. The schedule is flexible with two cook days per week, providing an excellent work-life balance while offering the challenge of preparing approximately six meals weekly for a single client. At Biospan, we value dedication, culinary creativity, and a holistic approach to nutrition, making this an ideal role for chefs eager to make a significant impact on their clients’ health and daily lives.
