Job Description
Located in the prestigious area of Beverly Hills, CA, this private chef position offers a unique opportunity to work within an exclusive household setting with a single principal. The role is based in a highly sought-after location that includes both a residence and an office, conveniently a seven-minute drive apart, allowing the chef to prepare meals in dual settings. The ideal candidate will work Monday to Friday with a flexible schedule that may occasionally extend into weekends. This is a full-time, salaried position with an annual compensation starting at $150,000, based on experience, and includes either health insurance or a monthly stipend alongside generous paid time off of two weeks per year.
This role is designed for a highly experienced and adaptable Private Chef who can seamlessly manage meal preparation and kitchen operations while maintaining discretion and professionalism at all times. The chef will primarily support an ultra-high-net-worth principal, focusing on delivering clean, elevated cuisine tailored to the principal's lifestyle and preferences. This is a unique hospitality opportunity where culinary creativity meets highly personalized service. You will be tasked with designing menus that emphasize health-conscious and refined dishes, with Persian cuisine knowledge considered an asset though not mandatory.
The chef is responsible for daily meal preparation, including consistent lunch service from Monday through Friday and dinner service Monday through Thursday, with flexibility as the principal's schedule dictates. An understanding of the principal’s observance of Shabbat is essential, with no dinner service required on Fridays except for occasional entertaining of 20-25 guests, supported by additional staff. The position requires the ability to replicate favorite recipes, source premium ingredients, and maintain impeccable kitchen organization across both the home and office kitchens, including a newly built outdoor grilling area.
The Private Chef must be adept at managing fluctuating schedules and show adaptability when travel is required, typically around 8-10 times a year to locations such as Miami, New York, and Malibu. While travel details and extent of accompaniment are to be determined, the chef should be prepared for potential trips. This role demands a high level of discretion, so safeguarding the principal’s privacy and confidentiality is paramount.
In addition to culinary expertise, the chef will work alongside a full-time housekeeper and coordinate with additional staff when hosting or entertaining. There is no requirement to prepare staff meals, allowing the chef to focus exclusively on providing bespoke culinary experiences for the principal and guests. This blend of high standards, personalization, and operational efficiency makes this position both challenging and rewarding, ideal for cooks with a passion for private service and healthy, creative cuisine who thrive in dynamic, prestigious environments.
