This leadership role is an integral part of the resort's Food and Beverage team, reporting directly to the General Manager and collaborating across multiple departments to ensure seamless operations.

The position available is for an experienced and highly adaptable Food and Beverage Manager who will provide operational support across all resort dining venues. This role acts as a key operational pillar by stepping in as an acting Restaurant Manager during periods of paid time off, scheduled days off, or when positions remain unfilled. The incumbent is expected to perform critical quality assurance tasks, deliver comprehensive training initiatives, and lead the ongoing development of managerial talent within the division. The ideal candidate must possess a thorough understanding of luxury service standards, demonstrating flexibility in adapting to various dining concepts ranging from fine dining establishments to more casual outlets, ensuring consistent delivery of the brand’s high expectations.

This role requires a professional with a strong leadership background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage high-performing teams that prioritize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include conducting service audits, performing discreet observations, and documenting findings to support continuous improvement efforts. Additionally, the manager will collaborate closely with the Learning and Development team to facilitate training that reinforces resort culture and service excellence. They will also oversee critical functions such as reservation management and act as a liaison between different departments, including Private Events and Senior Food & Beverage leadership, to streamline restaurant reservation processes.

The Food and Beverage Manager must be capable of handling escalated guest concerns tactfully to maintain the resort’s high reputation and ensure service recovery is swift and effective. Regular reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage on audit outcomes, training activity, and venue coverage is a vital part of the role. The ideal candidate is expected to assist in developing standard operating procedures to guarantee consistency across all venues, fostering an environment where excellence and professionalism are the norms. This full-time role demands a flexible schedule, including availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the nature of the hospitality industry and guest needs. Salary details are commensurate with experience and in line with luxury hospitality industry standards.

Job Requirements

  • High school education preferred
  • Prior hospitality or restaurant experience preferred
  • Must obtain government required licenses such as food handler certification, alcohol service permits (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe)
  • CPR and first aid training preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent lifting of 25 lbs
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods
  • Must have good vision, hearing, and communication skills
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in luxury food and beverage operations
  • At least 3 years experience in management roles
  • Proven leadership of diverse teams across dining concepts
  • Strong knowledge of fine dining service and beverage programs
  • Experience in training, mentoring, and performance management
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in POS and reservation systems
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Serve as acting restaurant manager during PTO and staff absences
  • Perform opening and closing procedures and lead shifts
  • Adapt to various service styles ensuring luxury standards
  • Conduct regular service audits reviewing brand and compliance standards
  • Perform service observations to assess team performance
  • Document audit findings and follow up on corrective actions
  • Lead onboarding and orientation for new food and beverage managers
  • Conduct 90-day performance assessments for new managers
  • Partner with learning and development for training sessions
  • Provide coaching for managers based on observations
  • Engage professionally with guests and members
  • Handle escalated guest concerns promptly
  • Maintain accurate records of audits and training
  • Provide weekly reports to director of food and beverage
  • Assist in developing SOPs for consistency
  • Oversee food and beverage reservationist position
  • Manage restaurant reservation systems and reporting
  • Act as liaison for restaurant reservation needs between departments
