Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience
  • Experience with version control and change management/agile planning tools
  • Knowledge of software configuration management technology, information technology (IT), and/or development/scripting experience
  • Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Job Qualifications

  • Experience with version control and change management/agile planning tools
  • Knowledge of software configuration management technology, information technology (IT), and/or development/scripting experience
  • Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance
  • Expert knowledge in software configuration management principles, process, and implementation/execution (preferred)
  • Skilled in solving complex problems, sharing knowledge, and documenting work (preferred)
  • Experience with SWCM tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps Server (ADS), Git, BitBucket, IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC), and/or IBM Rational ClearCase, Synergy, Jenkins, Artifactory (preferred)
  • Experience with scripting/programming languages like Perl, shell, batch, Python, Ruby, or YAML (preferred)
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), GitFlow, and Agile concepts (preferred)
  • Database/SWCM tool administration experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of software industry best practices such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) (preferred)
  • Proven collaboration and effective communication with individuals and cross-functional organizations (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Design, plan, enforce and coordinate CM and tool processes and procedures
  • Configuration planning and identification, change management and version control
  • Status accounting and configuration audits
  • Manage digital product development/media libraries
  • Document and maintain guidelines and standards for dependency management, build and versioning
  • SWCM tool administration and manage all access to tool applications such as Microsoft Azure DevOps Server, Git, BitBucket, JIRA, Confluence
  • Administer and manage DevSecOps tools like Coverity, Artifactory, Jenkins, Nexus, GitLab CI/CD, Bamboo
  • Facilitate the Digital Change Review Boards (DCRBs)
  • Maintain familiarity with program schedule, budget, identifying risks and aligning work to promote reuse and efficiency
  • Coordinate data transfers and courier support among various environments
  • Lead coordination of various digital product releases and interface with functional and program leadership ensuring on-time delivery and configuration management execution in multi-environment areas
  • Follow RTX policies and directives in accordance with established program documentation and work instructions under close direction of SWCM Team Lead and/or Section Leader
  • Work onsite at Tewksbury, MA
