The role of Corporate Director of Revenue Management is vital to the hotel's continued success and profitability. This leadership position is strategically responsible for maximizing overall revenue by managing pricing, inventory, and distribution channels for the hotel. The Corporate Director of Revenue Management will develop and implement comprehensive strategies that aim to increase all sources of revenue and profit while leading the Revenue Management and Reservations departments with direction, leadership, and technical expertise. This key role partners closely with senior leadership, including the Director of Commercial Strategy, to uphold brand standards in revenue optimization, distribution, and reservations functions. Responsibilities encompass in-depth analysis of market trends, hotel performance, competitor pricing, and accurate forecasting to make informed business decisions. The Corporate Director oversees critical operations such as room type analysis, OTA contracting, and CRS system implementations while ensuring efficient revenue-generating channel management. Furthermore, the role involves collaborating with various departments such as Sales, Marketing, Food & Beverage, Catering, Conference Services, and the Hawaii Prince Golf Club to drive revenue generation strategies cohesively. The position demands strong leadership in training and development within related departments and requires adaptability to work flexible schedules, including holidays and extended hours. Ideal candidates bring a strong understanding of hotel PMS, CRS, distribution systems, and proficiency with software tools like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Zoom, and Teams. Prior experience with systems such as Travelclick, Hotsos, and Infor is highly preferred. Job Requirements
- Must have flexible availability and be able to work varied shifts and holidays
- Must be able to work a minimum of 50 hours per week
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the changing demands of business need
- Must be able to travel for business, training, or attend meetings as required
- Strong understanding of how all hotel PMS, CRS and distribution channels work for an independent hotel required
- Previous experience and strong working knowledge of various systems including Travelclick, Hotsos and Infor highly preferred
- Previous experience in managing OTA accounts through its extranet/systems highly preferred
- Intermediate or expert skill level in the use of computer and all office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Zoom, Teams required
- Ability to use various office equipment including but not limited to telephones, calculators, photocopiers, and facsimile machines
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in similar role highly preferred
- Knowledge of hotel industry and Hawaii/Oahu market required
- Previous experience working in an independent upscale hotel highly preferred
- Must be based on site or willing to relocate to Oahu
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor degree highly preferred
Job Duties
- Execute all revenue management related critical path items including room type analysis, pricing, inventory, OTA contracting and maintenance/implementation of the CRS, booking engine, and PMS
- Effectively leverage, manage and maintain Revenue Management Systems and its daily operations to provide accurate forecasting/reporting
- Monitor hotel's distribution and booking systems to ensure all revenue generating channels are working efficiently
- Partner with Director of Sales and Marketing on annual budget, business plan, owner presentations, and merchandising of rooms and offers in all channels to increase conversion
- Provide leadership, direction, and development to reservations department to maximize revenue and efficiency
- Facilitate training and support in all areas related to revenue management and distribution
- Analyze applicable revenue reports to make daily yield management decisions and update respective inventory/rate information directly through systems
