The Assistant Night Crew Chief plays a vital role within the Operations Department at Price Rite. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and Night Crew Chief, this position is responsible for supervising the night crew to maintain proper pricing, stocking, facing, and rotation of merchandise in the grocery department. The position demands a proactive approach to ensuring that the store remains clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing to shoppers. The Assistant Night Crew Chief is expected to perform various functions to support night operations, including monitor inventory, organize stockrooms, and uphold safety and sanitation standards. Job Duties
- Observe store rules and company policies
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance and observe company dress code
- Adhere to shift operating hours as scheduled
- Follow all local, state, and federal health and civil code regulations
- Promote customer satisfaction by ensuring all items are clearly priced and displayed
- Rotate products to ensure freshness
- Maintain shelf allocations for optimal sales and profit
- Follow cleaning and sanitation schedules
- Remove trash and cardboard to designated areas
- Operate the bailer and other power equipment as needed
- Follow procedures to minimize product damage
- Notify supervisor of product shortages
- Store overstock properly
- Build product displays
- Organize and clean backroom stock
- Unload trucks
- Utilize register for cash handling functions
- Use store security systems and keys properly
- Obtain and maintain company recognized food safety certification
- Perform other duties as assigned
