The role of Assistant Night Crew Chief within Price Rite’s Operations Department is a critical position that supports the overall efficiency and presentation of the store during night hours. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and Night Crew Chief, this role involves supervising night crew clerks to ensure proper pricing, stocking, facing, and rotation of grocery merchandise. The goal is to maintain a clean, neat, and well-stocked store that appeals to customers and reflects the company’s high standards. This position requires attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to work efficiently within company policies and procedures. The Assistant Night Crew Chief also performs essential operational tasks including unloading trucks, organizing stock rooms, operating equipment such as the Telxon and bailer, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. This is a hands-on leadership role that encourages teamwork and communication to achieve customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Job Duties

  • Monitor night crew clerks maintaining pricing, stocking, facing and rotation of merchandise
  • Perform tasks efficiently within company policy
  • Observe store rules and company policies
  • Maintain personal appearance and adhere to dress code
  • Promote customer satisfaction through merchandise availability and proper pricing
  • Rotate products to ensure freshness
  • Follow cleaning and sanitation schedules
  • Remove trash and cardboard and operate bailer
  • Handle damaged and spoiled products according to policy
  • Notify supervisor of product shortages
  • Build product displays
  • Organize and clean backroom stock
  • Unload trucks
  • Operate power equipment
  • Use register for cash handling functions
  • Follow store security system procedures
  • Maintain recognized Food Safety Certification
  • Perform other duties as assigned
