Reporting to the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and Night Crew Chief, this position is responsible for supervising night crew clerks to ensure all grocery departments are properly stocked, priced, faced, and rotated. The Assistant Night Crew Chief plays a key role in presenting a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment that contributes to an attractive shopping experience for customers. This position demands a hands-on approach as the individual must assist with tasks such as unloading trucks, organizing backroom stock, operating machinery like bale compactors and power equipment, and performing cash handling operations. The Assistant Night Crew Chief must also comply with company policies, safety standards, and health regulations, including maintaining a recognized Food Safety Certification or completing training to obtain one.

- remove trash and cardboard to designated areas
- operate bale compactor and power equipment
- handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy
- notify supervisor of product shortages
- move overstock to storage areas
- build product displays
- organize and clean backroom stock
- unload trucks as necessary
- utilize register to perform cash handling functions
