Job Description

Delaware North is a renowned food, beverage, and retail provider operating at the iconic Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. This 20,000-seat venue, which opened in 2017, serves as the home of the NHL's Detroit Red Wings and the NBA's Detroit Pistons. Delaware North is currently seeking seasonal Line Cooks to join the dynamic team at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. The role of a Line Cook is critical to the smooth operation of the kitchen during game days and special events. This position involves preparing dishes according to recipes and the chef's specifications, ensuring quality and consistency in every item served. This is a seasonal position offering competitive pay ranging from $16.20 to $18.70 per hour. Job Requirements

  • Ability to understand recipes and food abbreviations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to follow procedures, take directions, and work in a team environment
  • Basic math skills to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions
  • Ability to stand constantly, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds or more
  • Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders
  • Willingness to work in variable temperatures

Job Duties

  • Follow the assignments for opening and closing procedures, as well as food production

  • Set up and operate kitchen equipment
  • Keep workstation and equipment clean, organized, and sufficiently stocked
