Job Description

Our child care center is a dedicated establishment focused on providing a safe, nurturing, and clean environment for children to learn and grow. Job Requirements

  • At minimum, a high school diploma or GED
  • Experience in general building maintenance
  • Good communication skills
  • Must have reliable transportation to each center
  • Understanding of infection control procedures
  • Sufficient mobility and strength to perform daily tasks
  • Patience, understanding and passion for small children

Job Duties

  • Perform housekeeping duties in classrooms and common areas according to facility procedures which include but not limited to, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning carpets, scrubbing bathrooms, and sanitizing surfaces
  • Gather and dispose of trash
  • Maintain levels of supplies and assists with ordering of products
  • Wash, fold and distribute clean laundry
  • Make adjustments to heating and cooling systems which may include changing filters
  • Sweep outdoor porches and entryways
  • Shampoo carpets when needed
  • Notify Director by documenting the need for major / minor repairs
  • Confers and cooperates with service companies during necessary visits
  • Sufficient mobility and strength to move about the building and to perform daily tasks
  • Understanding of infection control procedures
  • Demonstrate the ability to multi task
  • Have patience, understanding and passion for small children
