We are currently seeking enthusiastic, detail-oriented individuals to join our Prep/Pastry Team. This role is essential in upholding La Madeleine's commitment to excellence by ensuring that every ingredient prepared and every pastry crafted reflects our high standards. As a member of this team, you will take pride in producing beautifully crafted baked goods and fresh ingredients that customers expect from a reputable French-inspired kitchen. The position offers flexibility, with part-time and full-time options and shifts available in the morning and afternoon, allowing for work-life balance. Compensation includes the opportunity to earn an average of $3.00 per hour in tips directly through our café tip pool, rewarding your dedication and teamwork.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients with precision, assisting in the creation of signature pastries, and maintaining the highest level of quality control for all food items leaving the kitchen. You will adhere strictly to recipes, portions, and presentation standards to ensure consistency across every dish served. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is critical not only for food safety but to foster an efficient kitchen environment. Team collaboration is key as you will support your fellow associates to facilitate smooth operations and timely food preparation without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.

This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand, bend, lift, and reach for extended periods, and is performed in a fast-paced kitchen setting with exposure to hot equipment, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise levels. While prior experience in a bakery or kitchen environment is advantageous, it is not required. What matters most is your passion for food, craftsmanship, and team spirit.
