Job Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen years old
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably in a prep or pantry role
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to follow recipes accurately and work with minimal supervision
  • strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
  • excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot and noisy kitchen environment
  • positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and passion for creating delicious food
  • must have valid Food Handlers Certification
  • ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant POS such as Aloha, Hot Schedule, and Paylocity

Job Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of food items by accurately measuring and weighing ingredients, cutting and chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and following recipes and portion guidelines
  • maintain an organized and well-stocked pantry by receiving and inspecting deliveries, rotating stock, properly storing ingredients, and notifying appropriate personnel when supplies need replenishment
  • ensure that all necessary equipment, utensils, and supplies are set up and ready for use by line cooks and chefs
  • adhere to highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene by regularly cleaning and sanitizing workstations, equipment, and utensils
  • assist in monitoring inventory levels and report shortages to Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
  • work closely with kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and efficient communication
  • maintain a keen eye for detail and consistently deliver high-quality food by following standard recipes, portion control, and plating guidelines
  • comply with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures including proper food handling, storage, and labeling
  • be flexible and willing to assist in various kitchen duties as assigned, including assisting with line cooking during busy periods or filling in for absent staff members
  • perform other related duties as assigned
