Job Requirements

  • Food preparation: execute the preparation of high-quality ingredients according to established recipes and standards, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery
  • Ingredient organization: maintain the pantry area, ensuring that all ingredients are properly stored, labeled, and easily accessible for use
  • Inventory management: assist in monitoring inventory levels, notifying the appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished to avoid shortages
  • Food safety and sanitation: adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food, always ensuring a clean and organized work environment
  • Collaborative work: support the culinary team in the preparation of appetizers, sauces, garnishes, and other components required for our fine dining menu
  • Quality control: assist in conducting regular quality checks to ensure that all ingredients and prepared items meet our high standards for taste, presentation, and consistency
  • Communication: maintain effective communication with the kitchen staff and management regarding inventory needs, menu changes, and any concerns related to food preparation or pantry supplies
  • Efficiency enhancement: identify opportunities for streamlining processes and improving efficiency within the kitchen operations, contributing to the overall success of the restaurant
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have a valid food handlers certification

Job Qualifications

  • High school or vocational school coursework in kitchen basics such as food safety, preferred
  • Prior related experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification

Job Duties

  • Prepares meal ingredients as directed by the head chef, senior chef, or other staff
  • Prepares fresh produce by peeling, cutting, and portioning
  • Prepares meat by trimming, cutting, and portioning
  • Prepares simple dishes such as breads or salads
  • Mixes or prepares condiments, dressings, and sauces
  • Maintains compliance with applicable health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards
  • Assists with unloading, inspection, and storage of raw ingredients and supplies
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
