Job Description
Sam's Club is a leading membership-based warehouse club that provides customers with high-quality products at exceptional value. As a subsidiary of Walmart Inc., Sam's Club prides itself on a commitment to member satisfaction, innovation, and delivering fresh and prepared foods that families love. Located across the United States, including its Kentwood, MI location, the company emphasizes a team-oriented work environment where associates are empowered to grow, contribute, and make a real impact in the communities they serve. Sam's Club offers competitive wages, performance-based bonuses, and an extensive benefits package aimed at promoting well-being and financial security for its associates. The company is deeply invested in fostering a drug-free workplace and maintaining high standards of ethics and integrity across all its operations.
The Prepared Meal and Rotisserie Chicken Associate role is crucial in ensuring members receive fresh, high-quality prepared foods daily. If you have a passion for food preparation and enjoy helping people, this position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The role involves preparing food according to strict recipes and specifications, maintaining temperature controls, labeling, wrapping, and storing merchandise properly to ensure freshness. You'll play a key part in creating a positive member experience by maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitized work area. This job requires multitasking abilities and exceptional attention to detail as you assist members with bakery orders while ensuring all prepared foods meet Sam's Club's rigorous quality standards.
As a team member, you'll be expected to stay knowledgeable about product specifications related to prepared foods, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and be flexible to work in different areas as business needs dictate. You will also be responsible for preparing food items for seasonality and planning for mass production while strictly adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols. Being comfortable with digital tools is essential as you'll leverage handheld technology to enhance customer service, manage inventory, and make immediate decisions affecting production and quality.
Further responsibilities include stocking and rotating merchandise to maintain quality and date control, eliminating waste, and providing guidance to peers while promptly addressing customer concerns in accordance with company policies. Associates are encouraged to embody the company's values by showing energy, commitment, and passion for their work, ultimately contributing to a high-quality shopping experience that keeps members coming back.
In return for your dedication and hard work, Sam's Club offers comprehensive health benefits including medical, vision, and dental coverage; financial benefits such as 401(k), stock purchase plans, and company-paid life insurance; and paid time off options covering vacation, parental leave, family care, bereavement, and jury duty. Additional benefits include short and long-term disability, military leave pay, company discounts, and adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement. Associates also have access to the Live Better U education program, which offers fully paid tuition and fees for a range of educational opportunities from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees and certificate courses.
The hourly wage for this role ranges from $17.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on location and experience, with additional premiums that may apply under certain circumstances. The position requires candidates to be at least 18 years of age and willing to complete all job-required training and assessments. This role embodies Sam's Club's commitment to quality, member satisfaction, and associate development, making it a fantastic career opportunity for those passionate about fresh foods and excellent service.
