Duties include preparing and cutting a range of hot and cold food items, such as meats, cheeses, sandwiches, salads, and pizza, as well as maintaining the freshness and quality of the displays and products. The position also involves engaging with customers through product sampling and providing knowledgeable assistance that promotes national and regional programs and initiatives that Whole Foods Market supports.
Team members in this role are expected to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary working environment, comply with safety and health regulations, and contribute to inventory management efforts. This role requires physical stamina to perform duties such as lifting up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for prolonged periods, and handling various tools and machinery safely. The schedule is flexible, including the possibility of working nights, weekends, and holidays to meet store operational needs.

Job Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day
- hand use includes single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
- work requires bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
- exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- exposure to temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- ability to work in wet and dry conditions
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- may require use of ladders

Job Duties
- Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods, including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza
- samples products to customers
- stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from kitchen, walk-in preparation, and refrigerators
- checks in-stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotates when necessary
- bails and consolidates recyclables
- assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items
- completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required
